Lebanon is the largest town in this part of the Ozarks and the one that takes the most direct weather. There is no ridge line or timber to break a west wind before it reaches a subdivision off Jefferson Avenue or Route 5, so the gusts that get downgraded by the time they reach the water hit full strength here.
